CitraLand Surabaya
The Singapore of Surabaya
CitraLand is the first and largest project developed by the Company. This project is a self-contained city development in West Surabaya consisting of residential, commercial and recreational areas. The Company has licenses to develop area covering 1,126 hectares. This project was launched in April 1993, while the construction activity began in June 1993. In June 2003, inspired by Singapore, CitraLand was repositioned as "The Singapore of Surabaya", highlighting on "clean, green and modern city". Various efforts have been done, starting with bringing the icons of Singapore into the city, adding greenery, improving the quality of infrastructure, and also the city management. This project has various facilities, such as 27-hole golf course and family club, Surabaya International School, Ciputra School, Gymnasium, commercial centres, market, houses of worship and waterpark. In the near future, other facilities will follow, such as city walk and university. Since the development scale is very large, CitraLand has chosen the middle and upper class customers as its target market. The products offered varies from houses with sizes from building/land area of 77/135 square metres to 368/450 square metres, to large size land plots for upper class customers.
